Matei Damian-Ulmu

Matei Damian-Ulmu is the guitarist and founder of Amprenta. A conservatory graduate, he has played big stages and important projects: eight years with Bere Gratis, then Trupa Veche, seven years with Highlight Kenosis, Scarlet Kino in Germany and Serpentyne in England.

After ten years abroad, he came home wanting to make rock that is clear and alive. He is the one who brought the band together for its first rehearsal, perhaps because he is also an orchestrator. He knows exactly what a second of air between two notes is worth. Sounds simple, until you try it.
